Cruise to Bangkok

I got a message from Nicholas asking whether or not I was in Thailand so I decided to take the bus to Bangkok and see what happens. I’d been watching the BBC show Bangkok Airport (trailer on youtube) which is excellent! Having laughed at lost travellers on the internet I was almost hoping to see some troubled souls there…

Here's my bus.

The flight was uneventful, the new menu was good but nothing special. The new amenity kits, however, were quite nice! My fellow flyers on FT have been complaining about the quality of the new kits but as far as I’m concerned they are definitely an improvement to the old ones. The new socks were softer and better for wearing on the plane but I’m quite sure I have to find a new source of socks for daily use…

It then turned out that Mr. Nicholas was not in Bangkok as planned but he was back in Berlin for a seminar. That didn’t slow me down as there are other true Günther+ people to see!

The next day I needed to see some planes so I went to the Royal Thai Air Force museum. They do have an impressive collection. Highly recommended.

Overall a great trip. Thanks to the new Finnair & Stockmann cooperation the amount of AY+ points from this trip exceeds expectations. Enough for a trip to China? Maybe…

Quiet times

I haven’t written anything in a long while. However, now that I’ve got some exciting travel stuff to share I’ll post something in a bit… I’ll also need to update the cover picture to reflect the new title.
